RESOUITION OF RPPRECIRTION

D R. BARBARA B U N D Y
WHEREAS, Dr. Barbara Bundy has been with Dominican College
for the past sixteen years, and for seven of those years has been
President of the College; and
WHEREAS, among the many programs designed and implemented
by Dr. Bundy are new undergraduate programs in International
Studies, Computer Science, Nursing, General Education in
Humanities and College Skills, an innovative Masters Program in
Pacific Basin Studies, and the Academy for the Professional
Development of Teachers; and
WHEREAS, she implemented the single largest grant program
in American higher education for faculty and curriculum develop-
ment, and,increased the institution's endowment from $2 million to
$5 million over a period of seven years; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Bundy has continued to serve the greater
San Rafael community through her membership with many boards and
associations; and
WHEREAS, aided by her many outstanding personal qualities,
her skill as a dynamic speaker, her dedication and charismatic
presence, she has developed an expanded community outreach and
relations program for Dominican College;
NOWj THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Rafael City
Council expresses its appreciation to Dr. Barbara Bundy for her
considerable contributions to our community, and extends its best
wishes to her on the occasion of her retirement from the
Presidency of Dominican College on April 24, 1987.
