WILLIAM C. HARRINGTON
WHEREAS, William C. Harrington began his employment with
the City of San Rafael as a Groundsman in January, 1971, and
through diligence, dedication and quality workmanship was promoted
to Senior Building Maintenance Worker in June, 1975; and
WHEREAS, Bill's knowledge of City facilities, his skills in
carpentry and plumbing, and his ability to complete challenging
tasks in a timely fashion are invaluable assets to the City; and
WHEREAS, we are constantly grateful for Bill's unending
flow of creativity and the consistently excellent auality of his
craftsmanship; and
WHEREAS, examples of Bill's creations are visible
throughout the City of San Rafael, in such projects as the
Corporation Yard Employee Lounge, the Aauatics office at the Terra
Linda Recreation Center, the Pickleweed Par Course, and each and
every City office; and
WHEREAS, Bill's friendly, softspoken attitude and willing-
ness to cooperate and assist anyone in need at any time creates a
harmonious attitude throughout the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Council of the City of San Rafael hereby designate William C.
Harrington as
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR
and express sincere appreciation to Bill for his dedication and
outstanding craftsmanship throughout the past sixteen years, on
this sixth day of April, nineteen hundred and eighty-seven.
