A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN RAFAEL APPROVING MODIFICATION OF FREEWAY
AGREEMENTS DATED JANUARY 24, 1963 AND MAY 24, 1963,
AND SUPPLEMENTAL FREEWAY AGREEMENT DATED AUGUST 5,
1966, BETWEEN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA AND THE CITY OF
SAN RAFAEL RELATING TO THAT PORTION OF STATE HIGHWAY
ROUTE 101 AT THE LINCOLN AVENUE INTERCHANGE
WHEREAS, the State of California and the City of San Rafael
have entered into a Freeway Agreement dated January 24, 1963, and a
Supplemental Freeway Agreement dated August 5, 1966, relating to that
portion of State Highway Route 101 from Harbor Street to the north
City Limits; and
WHEREAS, the State of California and the County of Marin have
entered into a Freeway Agreement dated May 24, 1963, related to that
portion of State Highway Route 101 from San Pablo Avenue to the City
Limits of San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael has subsequently annexed
certain areas including portions of such freeway covered by said
Freeway Agreement dated May 24, 1963, between the State of California
and the County of Marin; and
WHEREAS, studies show that it is necessary to relocate the
southbound on and off -ramps at Lincoln Avenue to improve the traffic
circulation in the surrounding area; and
WHEREAS, the plan map attached hereto marked Revised Exhibit
A has been prepared by the Department of Transportation showing the
proposed revision; and
WHEREAS, the State of California, through its Department of
Transportation, has requested the City of San Rafael approve said
revision as shown on the attached map marked Revised Exhibit A by
resolution of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, said revision has been reviewed and approved by the
City's Director of Public Works.

RESOLUTION NO. 7525
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of San Rafael hereby approves the modification of said Freeway
Agreements dated January 24, 1963, and May 24, 1963, and Supplemental
Freeway Agreement dated August 5, 1966, to relocate the southbound on
and off -ramps all as shown on the plan map attached hereto marked
Revised Exhibit A.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a revised Freeway Agreement will
be prepared at some future date after construction to include said
revision and other subsequent revisions in the freeway plan.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said
City on PZonday , the 20th day of April
1987, by the following vote, to wit:
