WHEREAS, the San Rafael. City Co,,:.ncil recognizes the need for
community park and recreation facilities in San Rafael;
and
WHEREAS, Kathy Ohm had a vision to achieve a state of the art
playground for the youth of San Rafael by coordinating
several agencies and funding sources; and
WHEREAS, Kathy Ohm initiated a request tc the City of San Rafael
on behalf -,f the Dixie School District to develop a
jointly funded playground project on the Vallecito
Elementary School campus; and
WHEREAS, Kathv Ohm, wrote a successful grant request to the Sari
Francisco Foundation Buck Trust and conducted a successful
community fund raising drive; and
WHEREAS, Kathy Ohm served on -the Vallecito Playground Advisory
Committee through the playground design and approval
process; and
WHEREAS, Kathy Oh-�i has dedicated her leadership, energy, time and
talent to the successful completion of the Vallecito
Playground;
! NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council
conun.end and extend their appreciation to Kathy Ohm for
her dedication and contribution to the San Rafael
community.
