RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
DESIGNATING SUMMERHILL SUBDIVISION PARK AS HARTZELL PARK
IN MEMORY OF OLIVER HARTZELL
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael will acquire a new park
at the old Hartzell School site; and
WHEREAS, Hartzell School was named after Oliver Hartzell,
a past principal and superintendent for the San Rafael City
Schools; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Hartzell not only served his community in
his role as school superintendent, but also was actively involved
in the San Rafael Rotary, Elks Club, and Camp Fire Girls, and,
through these organizations, contributed a great deal to his
community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City
Council designate the park at the Summerhill Sudivision "Hartzell
Park" in memory of Oliver Hartzell.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
California, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting
of the Council of said City, held on the Fourth day of
May , 1987, by the following vote, to wit:
