A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN RAFAEL AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR
TO CANCEL EXISTING PROPERTY AND WORKERS COM-
PENSATION INSURANCE AND CONTRACT FOR COVERAGE
THROUGH THE CALIFORNIA JOINT POWERS INSURANCE
AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael has an excess Workers
Compensation Insurance policy with Employers Reinsurance with an
expiration date of December 8, 1987; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael has a property insurance
policy with Zurich American with an expiration date of February 4,
1988; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael can purchase insurance
through the California Joint Powers Insurance Authority under more
favorable terms than existing policies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Finance Director
is authorized to cancel our existing excess Workers Compensation
Insurance policy and our property insurance policy effective July 1,
1987, and to contract for insurance through the California Joint
Powers Insurance Authority.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said
City the 15th day of June , 1987, by the following vote,
to wit:
