HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Resolution 7353 (Purchase Vehicles)RESOLUTION NO. 7353 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF: ITEM 1. TWO (2) THREE -WHEEL METERMAID SERVICE VEHICLES, POLICE DEPT., ITEM 2. ONE (1) COMPACT HATCHBACK, POLICE SERVICE AIDF,ITEM 3. THREE (3) FOUR DOOR STATION WAGONS: (2) FIRE DEPT., (1) RECREATION DEPT. ITEM 4. ONE (1) FULL-SIZED 3/4 TON PICKUP, FIRE DEPT. ITEM 5. ONE (1) FULL-SIZED 3/4 TON PICKUP, PUBLIC WORKS, PARKS. UTILIZING EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT FUNDS WHEREAS, specifications were drawn and bids solicited for the above mentioned equipment; and WHEREAS, bids have been received by the General Services Department staff. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the San Rafael City Council that the following action be taken: Puchase the following award of bid, Item 1; Two new 1986 three wheel vehicles for Meter Maid Service Cushman Model 454 per specifications and bid received from Golden Bear Equipment Co. for the amount of $14,570.76 ($7,285.38 each). Item 2; One used compact, hatchback, for PSA service, Police Dept., four door sedan 1985 Pontiac T1000 per specifications and bid received from Helton Pontiac GMC for the amount of $5,141.00. Item 3; Two used Chevrolet Celebrity 1985 four door station wagons for Fire Department use and one four door station wagon for Recreation Department use per specifications and bid received from Avis Rent A Car for the amount of $26,553.00 ($8,851.00 each). Item 5; One (1) new 1986 3/4 Ton Pickup for use by the Fire Depart- ment per specifications and bids received from Sun Valley Ford for the amount of $9,852.90. Item 5; One (1) new 1986 3/4 Ton pickup for use by the Public Works, Parks Division, Parks Maintenance per specifications and bid received from Sun Valley Ford for the amount of $11,438.66.
