A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN RAFAEL APPROVING AND RATIFYING AMENDMENT TO
JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT CREATING THE CALIFORNIA
JOINT POWERS INSURANCE AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael has executed the Joint
Powers Agreement creating the California Joint Powers Insurance
Authority, and is a member thereof; and
WHEREAS, representatives of the member agencies which are
signatory to the agreement have met and approved a proposal to amend
Article XXV of the Agreement to read as follows:
"ARTICLE XXV
AMENDMENT
This Agreement may be amended by the vote of 90
percent or more of the Member Entities of the
Authority at any regular or special meeting of
the Member Entities, provided that any amendment
is compatible with the purposes of this
Agreement and has been submitted to the Member
Entities at least 90 days in advance. Any such
amendment shall be effective immediately, unless
otherwise designated."
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael is in accord with the
amendment, finds it compatible with the general purposes of the
entire agreement, and finds that it should be adopted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Rafael City
Council hereby approves and ratifies the action taken by other
members to make such amendment effective, hereby adopts such
amendment, and authorizes execution on behalf of this agency of any
further instrument constituting an amendment of the agreement, or
the entire agreement as amended, or other appropriate form of
instrument tendered for signature and filing to make effective the
provisions of Article XXV of the Joint Powers Agreement in the form
approved above.

hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said
City on Monday , the 7th day of July ,
1986, by the following vote, to wit:
