RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AUTHORIZING FALKIRK STAFF TO APPLY TO THE CALIFORNIA STATE
OFFICE OF HISTORIC PRESERVATION FOR A GRANT OF $42,000 IN
MATCHING FUNDS FOR EXTERIOR PAINTING AND REPAIRS OF FALKIRK
WHEREAS, Falkirk Community Cultural Center, formerly
the Robert Dollar estate, is a National Historic Landmark
owned and operated by the City of San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, The California State Office of Historic
Preservation makes grants available to preserve and protect
historic structures in California; and
WHEREAS, To continue to protect and preserve Falkirk
it is necessary to paint and repair the buildings exterior.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the
City of San Rafael hereby authorizes Falkirk staff to apply
to the California State Office of Historic Preservation for
a $42,000 matching grant for exterior painting and repairs
of Falkirk.
I, JEANNE 14. LEONCINI, City Clerk of the City of San
Rafael hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted at a Reaular
meeting of the City Council of said City held on Monday
