RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING OCTOBER 6th to 10th
SAN RAFAEL RIDESHARING WEEK
WHEREAS, the Governor of the State of California has
proclaimed October 6 to 10 as Ridesharing Week in California; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael recognizes ridesharing as
an important component of Traffic Systems Management which has the
potential for the reduction of fuel consumption, air pollution, user
transportation costs, and parking needs; and
WHEREAS, Ridesharing will produce a more efficient
transportation system; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate that all citizens recognize and
appreciate the importance of ridesharing to the State of California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of San Rafael hereby proclaims October 6th to 10th as SAN RAFAEL
RIDESHARING WEEK and urges all citizens and employees in San Rafael to
join with the San Rafael TSM Task Force in observing this week of
Ridesharing.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said City
on Monday, the 6th day of October 1986, by the following vote, to wit:

NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
