A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL AUTHORIZING THE
AMENDMENT OF RESOLUTION NO. 7370
DATED JUNE 16, 1986 FOR THE PURCHASE
OF ONE 11 TON PICK-UP TRUCK UTILIZING
EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT FUNDS
(FOR PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT)
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 7370 authorized the purchase of one k ton
GMC pick-up truck from Helton GMC for the amount of $9,445.99, and
WHEREAS, Helton GMC cannot supply said vehicle for said price, and
WHEREAS, the vendor is unable to perform per his bid price in
delivering said vehicle;
WHEREAS, bidding requirements have been fulfilled to no avail.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the San Rafael City Council that
the following action be taken: Authorize Purchasing Department to
negotiate the purchase of said vehicle on the open market,

certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced
and adopted at a regular meeting fo the Council of said City the
