HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Resolution 7277 (Rotation Towing Services Fees)RESOLUTION NO. 7277 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL, AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO SET ROTATION TOWING SERVICE FEES PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION NO. 6083 WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 6083, the City Council is authorized to establish towing and storage service fees for those tow operators listed on the San Rafael Police Department's Rotation Towing List; and, and, WHEREAS, said fees have not been updated since October of 1982; WHEREAS, such operators provide a valuable service to the City and to the San Rafael Police Department. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows: The City Council hereby authorizes the Chief of Police to set fees for towing and storage services performed by rotation towing operators with the understanding that the Chief of Police will establish a schedule of fees that closely tracks the California Highway Patrol towing schedule. The Chief will annually review the rotation towing schedule to insure it is reasonable. It is hereby understood that the fees established by the Chief are maximum fees and lesser charges may be levied as deemed appropriate by each rotation tow operator. I, JEANNE M.
