RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AUTHORIZING FALKIRK STAFF TO APPLY TO THE CALIFORNIA ARTS COUNCIL
FOR A GRANT TO.' SUPPORT FALKIRK PROGRAMS_ AND EVENTS
(IN AMOUNT OF $10,00.0)
WHEREAS, Falkirk Community Cultural Center provides the
citizens of San Rafael with a rich and varied program of cultural
activities; and
WHEREAS, The California Arts Council makes grants to
support cultural programs in California; and
WHEREAS, Falkirk staff wishes to expand community
cultural programs and events by securing matching funds from the
California Arts Council; and
WHEREAS, The Cultural Affairs Commission has recommended
that the City Council authorize staff to apply to the California
Arts Council for matching funds to expand cultural programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the
City of San Rafael hereby authorizes Falkirk staff to apply to
the California Arts Council for matching funds to expand Falkirk's
cultural programs and events.
