HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Resolution 7312 (Falkirk Grant Application)RESOLUTION 7312 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL AUTHORIZING FALKIRK STAFF TO APPLY TO THE SAN FRANCISCO FOUNDATION FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDING ON EXISTING PROGRAMMING GRANT (IN AMOUNT OF $24,875) WHEREAS, Falkirk Community Cultural Center provides the citizens of San Rafael with a rich and varied program of cultural activities; and WHEREAS, The San Francisco Foundation makes grants in Marin County for cultural programs through the Leonard and Beryl Buck Trust; and WHEREAS, Falkirk has received a grant from the Foundation to support cultural programs; and WHEREAS, Falkirk staff has been advised by Foundation staff that Falkirk's existing programming grant may be extended by a requesting additional funds; and WHEREAS, The Cultural Affairs Commission has recommended that the City Council authorize staff to apply to the San Francisco Foundation for additional funds to extend the existing programming grant. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the City of San Rafael hereby authorizes Falkirk staff to apply to the San Francisco Foundation for funds to extend Falkirk's existing programming grant from the San Francisco Foundation. I, JEANNE M.
