RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN RAFAEL REJECTING THE BID FOR THE
PROJECT ENTITLED "PICKLEWEED PARK COMMUNITY
CENTER, CITY OF SAN RAFAEL, INTERIOR
IMPROVEMENTS: FIXED STAGE WITH LIFT".
WHEREAS, the San Rafael City Council has previously
authorized Staff to solicit bids for interior improvements at
Pickleweed Park Community Center, i.e. Fixed Stage with Lift; and
WHEREAS, on April 14, 1986, bids were received and publica-
lly opened; and
WHEREAS, the only bid received was from Joseph DiGiorgio &
Sons, Inc., in the amount of $24,104; and
excessive.
WHEREAS, after reviewing the bid, staff found it to be
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of San Rafael that the bid received from Joseph DiGiorgio & Sons,
Inc., on April 14, 1986 for Pickleweed Park Community Center, Interior
Improvements: Fixed Stage with Lift is hereby rejected.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, in accordance with Article
XIII, Section 3. of the City's Charter, Staff is hereby directed to
negotiate for the work on the open market.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said City
on Monday, the 21st day of April, 1986, by the following vote, to wit:
