HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Resolution 7210 (Establish Speed Limit)RESOLUTION NO. 7210 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL ESTABLISHING A 15 MPH SPEED LIMIT ON ROBERT DOLLAR DRIVE, FAIR DRIVE, PROSPECT DRIVE AND CONNECTING STREETS WHEREAS, Section 22358.3 of the California Motor Vehicle Code allows local authorities to set a speed limit of 15 or 20 miles per hour on local streets when the street is less than 25 feet in width and the results of a traffic and engineering survey indicate that such a lower speed is warranted, and WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael Traffic Engineer has con- ducted such a survey for the following street sections: Street Name ROBERT DOLLAR DRIVE COLEMAN DRIVE VINEYARD DRIVE FAIR DRIVE PROSPECT DRIVE From Laurel Place Tampa Drive Coleman Drive Coleman Drive Vineyard Drive To Tampa Drive Fair Drive Prospect Drive Lincoln Avenue Lincoln Avenue WHEREAS the results of said traffic engineering survey have determined that 15 miles per hour is the safe speed for the above named street sections. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Rafael hereby resolves that a speed limit of 15 miles per hour is hereby established for the above named street sections and hereby directs the City Engineer to post appropriate signs giving notice thereof. I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of San Rafael held on the 21st day of October, 1985, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner, Frugoli, Nave & Mayor Mulryan NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Russom JE LEONCINI,,City Clerk OR, IGINAIL -j'-0 (
