RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO APPLY FOR GRANT FROM CALIFORNIA STATE OFFICE
OF HISTORIC PRESERVATION FOR THIRD FLOOR RESTORATION AT FALKIRK
WHEREAS, The Legislature under the California Park and
Recreational Act of 1984 has authorized the establishment of a
Historic Preservation Grant Program, providing matching funds to
the political subdivisions of the State for historic preservation
projects; and
WHEREAS, the California Office Historic Preservation in
the Department of Parks and Recreation is responsible for the
administration of the program within the State, setting up
necessary rules and procedures governing application by local
agencies under the program; and
WHEREAS, said adopted procedures established by the
Department of Parks and Recreation require the applicant to
certify by resolution the approval of applications and the
availability of local matching funds prior to submission of said
applications to the State.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of San Rafael hereby: approves the the filing of an
application for the Historic Preservation Grant for third -floor
restoration at Falkirk; and appoints the City Manager or his
authorized deputy as agent of the City to coordinate, process,
and execute all contracts, agreements, amendments and ancillary
documents within the scope of Falkirk's 1986 grant application to
the California State Office of Historic Preservation; and agrees
that $13,620 matching funds will be provided for the project.

Rafael hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted at a Regular
meeting of the City Council of said City held on
Monday the Fourth day of November ,
1985, by the following vote, to wit:
