RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO APPLY FOR GRANTS FROM THE SAN FRANCISCO
FOUNDATION FOR CULTURAL PROGRAMS AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AT
FALKIRK COMMUNITY CULTURAL CENTER
WHEREAS, The Falkirk Community Cultural Center was
established for the community to provide a broad range of
cultural activities; and
WHEREAS, the San Francisco Foundation, through its
trusteeship of the Leonard and Beryl Buck Trust, makes funds
available in Marin County for cultural and educational programs;
and
WHEREAS, the San Francisco Foundation last year
granted Falkirk's request for funds for expanded programming and
capital improvements under the first year of a three-year
grant proposal.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of San Rafael hereby authorizes staff to apply for funds
from the San Francisco Foundation for multi -disciplinary
cultural programs and capital improvements at Falkirk.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, City Clerk of the City of San
Rafael hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted at a Regular meeting
of the City Council of said City held on Monday the
Fourth day of November , 1985, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner, Frugoli, Nave, Russom & Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS None
