RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AUTHORIZING FALKIRK TO APPLY FOR ART IN PUBLIC PLACES GRANT FROM
THE NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS
WHEREAS, Falkirk Community Cultural Center provides the
citizens of San Rafael with a rich and varied program of cultural
activities including public works of art; and
WHEREAS, The NEA makes grants available for art in
public places;and
WHEREAS, The Cultural Affairs Commission has recommended
that the City Council authorize staff to apply to The National
Endowment For The Arts for an Art In Public Places Grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the
City of San Rafael hereby authorizes Falkirk staff to apply for
Art In Public Places Grant from The National Endowment For The
Arts, for the placement of outdoor sculptures, project title "The
Garden Project".
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, City Clerk of the City of San
Rafael hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted at a Regular meeting
of the City Council of said City held on Monday the
Second day of December , 1985, by the following
vote, to wit:
