RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO CLOSE THE LIBRARY AT 5 P.M. ON CHRISTMAS AND
NEW YEAR'S EVE
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael operates the San Rafael
Public Library which provides a full range of library and
information services to the public; and
WHEREAS, the San Rafael Public Library is open to the
public Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. - 9 p.m., and Friday and
Saturday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, the San Rafael Public Library has traditionally
closed at 5 p.m. on Christmas and New Year's Eve in conformance
with other governmental services and retail businesses.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of San Rafael hereby authorizes staff to close the
Library at 5 p.m. on Christmas and New Year's Eve when they occur
on a day that the Library would normally be open until 9 p.m..
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, City Clerk of the City of San
Rafael hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted at a Reqular meeting
of the City Council of said City held on Monday the
16th day of December , 1985, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS:Breiner, Frugoli, Nave, Russom & Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS:None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS :None
