A RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZING
THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) THREE WHEELED PARKING SERVICE
VEHICLE, TWO (2) MOTORCYLES FOR POLICE TRAFFIC SERVICE,
FIVE (5) FOUR DOOR SEDANS FOR GENERAL STAFF SERVICE,
TWO (2) FOUR DOOR SEDANS FOR POLICE UNDERCOVER SERVICE
ONE (1) FOUR DOOR STATIONWAGON FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT STAFF
SERVICE, UTILIZING EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the San Rafael City Council authorized replacement
of these vehicles; and
WHEREAS, specifications were drawn and bids were solicited
for these vehicles; and
WHEREAS, these bids have been received by the General
Services department staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the San Rafael City Council
that the following action be taken:
Purchase the following award of bids:
One (1) Cushman Model 454 three wheel vehicle from Golden
Bear Equipment Company for the amount of $6,476.
Two (2) Police traffic motorcycles Kawasaki ICZ 1000 police
package equipped from Marin Motor Sports for the amount of
$11,287.
Five (5) used four door sedans:
One (1) Ford Fairmont '83 4 door sedan $ 5,507.
Two (2) Dodge Aries '83 4 door sedan @ $5,613 11,226.
Two (2) Plymouth Reliant '83 4 door sedan @ $5,592 11,184.
from American International Rent a Car Co.
for the amount of $27,917.
Two (2) used four door sedans:
One (1) Buick Regal '84 $ 8,263.
from National Car Rental Co., Burlingame.
One (1) Olds Cutlass Supreme '84 8,185.
from Avis Rent a Car.
One (1) used Mercury Marquis '84 station wagon 8,268.
from Hertz Corporation.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said
city on the Nineteenth day of February , 1985, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner, Frugoli, Nave, Russom & Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
