TO
GEORGE OBANA
WHEREAS, the San Rafael City Council voted on January 21, 1980 to
appoint George Obana as a charter member of the San Rafael
Police Advisory Commission; and
WHEREAS, George Obana's colleagues on the Police Advisory
Commission recognized him by electing him chairman in 1984;
and
WHEREAS, George Obana has contributed many hours of service and
dedication to the Commission and San Rafael Police Depart-
ment; and
WIiEREAS, through the efforts of George Obana and his concern to
improve the quality of life in his community, he has assisted
in making San Rafael a better community in which to live.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of San Rafael, by adoption of this Resolution, commends
George Obana for his record of voluntary service on the
Police Advisory Commission for the City of San Rafael.
