HomeMy WebLinkAboutCC Resolution 7058 (School District Swimming Pool Funding)RESOLUTION NO. 7058 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SIGNING OF A CONTRACT, LEASE OR AGREEMENT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL RESOLVES as follows: The MAYOR and CITY CLERK are authorized to execute, on behalf of the City of San Rafael, a contract, lease or agreement with SAN RAFAEL SCHOOL DISTRICT RE TWO PROJECTS PURSUANT TO REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AGREEMENT (re funding of swimming pool) a copy of which is hereby attached and by this reference made a part hereof. I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI,\City Clerk �� 1GiIIV'AIL10,5$ MEMO OF UNDERSTANDING SAN RAFAEL CITY SCHOOLS/CITY OF SAN RAFAEL This Memo of Understanding is entered into this ST day of Jcct-y, 19851, by and between the San Rafael City Schools - "District"; and the City of San Rafael - "City". The District and City have entered into a Redevelopment Agreement dated September 4, 1984, whereby the City has agreed to assist the District in the upgrading and maintenance of certain district properties used by the City for recreation or day care. Assistance consists of the following: 1. Maintenance and care of the San Pedro playfield including the cost on water on service #37374. (Bill for this meter to be transferred to the City of San Rafael effective July 1, 1985. 2. Maintenance and care of the Davidson play fields, including the cost of water on service 038914. (Bill for this meter to be transferred to the City of San Rafael effective July 1, 1985.) 3. Exterior painting of the Short School during the Summer of 1985. -1:77 C_: 4. Repair and upgrading of the San Rafael High School pool as specified below and daily on-going care of the pool beginning June 1, 1985. PROJECT ESTIMATED COST (a) Repositioning valves and repairing leaks on large water lines. $ 8,000 (b) Asbestos correction $13,000 (c) Automatic chlorinator $15,000 (d) Ladder repair $ 1,000 (e) Chlorine alarm & breathing apparatus $ 3,500 TOTAL $40,500 L 5. Resurfacing of tennis courts at Terra Linda and San Rafael High Schools - 3, 3, 4, courts per year over a three-year period. Term This agreement shall terminate in 20 years from September 4, 1984 or the termination of the Redevelopment Agreement whichever comes first.
