RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL (4/1/85)
OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
RECOMMENDING PRIORITIES FOR HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, on December 18, 1984, the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Marin adopted resolution #84-598 approving
the 1985/86 to 1989/90 major highway improvement projects and
establishing priorities for proposed projects; and
WHEREAS, since the adoption of that list, CalTrans
staff has determined that the #2 proposed project "Reconstruct/
Relocate Route 101/17 Interchange including South Bound On
and Off Ramps with modifications near the Bellam Interchange.
(50M) [partial local funding]" could be divided into two projects
with the Interstate 580 (Route 17) ramp relocation project
being Interstate fundable; and
WHEREAS, there is funding available for additional
Interstate improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of San Rafael requests that the County of Marin
amend resolution #84-598 to show: "(B) Proposed Projects"
as "(B) Proposed Federal Aid Primary Projects" with 11(2) Reconstruct/
Relocate Route 101/17 Interchange including South Bound On
and Off Ramps with modifications near Bellam Interchange.
(50 M) [partial local funding]" revised to read: "(2) Reconstruction
of the Route 101/Interstate 580 Interchange (19 M)" and the
addition of "(C) Proposed Interstate Projects: (1) Reconstruct/
Relocate North and South Bound On and Off Ramps at the Interstate
580 Interchange (18 M) [partial local funding]".
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, City Clerk of the City of
San Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was
duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting
of the Council of said City on Monday the lst day of April
1985, by the following vote, to wit:
