A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN RAFAEL AFFIRMING THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE
PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL IN
CONNECTION WITH THE RENAMING OF A PORTION OF
MAKIN GRADE TO UPPER TOYON DRIVE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL RESOLVES as follows:
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of San
Rafael, on March 26, 1985, recommended renaming a 300' portion of
Makin Grade to Upper Toyon Drive; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of San
Rafael determined that the public health, safety, convenience, and
public welfare were considered in reviewing the street name
change, and that it will promote efficient emergency service; and
WHEREAS, the matter came on regularly for consideration
by the City Council of the City of San Rafael on the 15th day of
April 1985; and
WHEREAS, evidence, both oral and documentary, was pro-
duced and good cause appearing therefor.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED that the 300 foot portion
of Makin Grade be renamed Upper Toyon Drive. Said street name
change shall be effective immediately.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said
City on Monday , the 15thday of April 1985, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner, Frugoli, Nave, Russom & Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
