RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
APPROVING A JOINT GRANT APPLICATION TO THE SAN FRANCISCO
FOUNDATION FOR FUNDS FOR THE VALLECITO PLAYGROUND IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL RESOLVES as follows:
WHEREAS, the purpose of the requested grant is to match funds
available to permit the construction of a recreation play structure;
and
WHEREAS, the basic purpose of the project is essentially to
provide a large scale recreation play structure for recreational
activities to benefit residents of San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, the amount requested from the San Francisco Foundation
is $32,500; and
WHEREAS, the grant proposal is a joint request from the City of
San Rafael and the Dixie School District.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of San Rafael gives staff permission to jointly submit a grant in the
amount of $32,500 to the San Francisco Foundation to assist in the
Vallecito Playground Improvement Project.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly intro-
duced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of said
City held on Monday, the Fifteenth day of April 1985 ,
by the following vote, to wit:
