A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN RAFAEL CERTIFYING A NEGATIVE
DECLARATION FOR AMENDMENTS TO THE MUNICIPAL
CODE AMENDING SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 14.12 "ZONING -
SIGNS," REPEALING SECTIONS 14.12.03.I "SIGNS ON VEHICLES,"
14.12.04 "WHAT IS EXEMPT," 14.12.10.B "BUSINESS SIGN,"
14.12.10.P "POLITICAL SIGN," AND AMENDING SECTION 8.12.080
OF CHAPTER 8.12,"MISCELLANEOUS PUBLIC OFFENSES" AND
REPEALING SECTION 8.12.090
WHEREAS, pursuant to Title 14 of the San Rafael Municipal Code,
amendments to the Zoning Ordinance regulating signs were initiated by the
City; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Title 8 of the San Rafael Municipal Code,
amendments to the Morals and Conduct Ordinance regulating miscellaneous
public offenses were initiated by the City; and
WHEREAS, an Initial Environmental Study was prepared in accordance
with the State EIR Guidelines to assess potential environmental impacts of
the proposal; and
WHEREAS, on June 11, 1985, the Planning Commission found that the
proposal would not create any significant adverse impacts and recommended to
the City Council (6-0) the certification of a Negative Declaration; and
WHEREAS, on June 17, 1985, the City Council concurred with the
Planning Commission recommendation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Rafael City Council
certifies the Negative Declaration for Z85-11.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and
adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said City on Monday, the
seventeenth day of June, 1985, by the following vote, to wit:
