A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN RAFAEL APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR
LICENSING OF CHILD CARE PROGRAMS
(State Department of Social Services)
WHEREAS, the legislature of the State of California has
enacted into law the Assembly Bill 469, which requires public
agencies in the State of California to license child care programs;
and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Social Services has been
delegated the responsibility for licensing child care programs
within the State, setting up necessary procedures and regulations
governing application by local agencies operating child care
programs; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Depart-
ment of Social Services require the applicant to certify by reso-
lution the approval of applications before submission of said
applications to the State; and
WHEREAS, said applications contain assurances that the
applicant must comply with; and
WHEREAS, the applicant agency will enter into an agree-
ment with the State of California for operating child care
programs in accordance with the State established regulations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Rafael City
Council hereby:
1. Approves the filing of an application for State
licensing of the child care programs; and
2. Certifies that said agency understands the assur-
ances and certification in the application; and
3. Certifies that said agency has and will operate and
maintain the child care programs; and
4. Appoints the Child Care Recreation Supervisor as
agent of the City of San Rafael to conduct all negotiations,
execute and submit all documents including but not limited to
applications, agreements, amendments, payment requests, and so on,
which may be necessary for completion of the aforementioned
project.

I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said
City on Monday , the 21st day of January , 1985, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner, Nave, Russom and Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: Frugoli
