A RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL
AUTHORIZING. THE PURCHASE OF FIVE USED VEHICLES
FOR USE AS POLICE DEPARTMENT UNDERCOVER SERVICE,
VEHICLE POOL SERVICE, AND CITY MANAGER SERVICE,
UTILIZING EOUIPMENT REPLACEMENT FUNDS
WHEREAS, the San Rafael City Council authorized City
Staff to solicit bids for five used vehicles; three (3) for
Police Undercover Service, one (1) for Vehicle Pool Service,
one (1) for City Manager Service; and
WHEREAS, specifications were drawn and bids were solic-
ited for this item; and
WHEREAS, these bids have been received by the City Staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the San Rafael City
Council that the following action be taken:
1. That Hertz Corporation be designated as low bidder
for one (1) two -door Sedan (Police Department Service),
one (1) four -door Sedan forward wheel drive (Vehicle
Pool Service), one (1) four -door Sedan (City Manager
Service), and that Staff be authorized to negotiate a
lower price for two (2) four -door Sedans (Police
Department Service), for a total price not to exceed
$42,612.00.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regu-
larly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council
of said City on the sixteenth day of January, 1984, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: Breiner, Frugoli, Nave, Russom & Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE
