A RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL
CALLING FOR THE DISPOSAL OF CITY OWNED PROPERTY
ON BELLAM BOULEVARD FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING PURPOSES
WHEREAS, City owned property known as Assessors Parcel Number
9-010-16 containing 7.8 acres has been identified as a potential
housing opportunity site in the City Housing Element; and
WHEREAS, the Marin County Housing Authority has requested the
City to participate in creating affordable housing on this site; and
WHEREAS, at the San Rafael City Council meeting of February
21, 1984, the Council reallocated $250,000 in Community Development
Block Grant Housing Funds to Assessors Parcel Number 9-010-16; and
WHEREAS, the Marin County Housing Authority has notified
the City of San Rafael that it desires to purchase the property for
affordable housing purposes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that:
1. The San Rafael City Council believes there is merit in
disposing Assessors Parcel Number 9-010-16 for affordable
housing purposes,
2. City staff shall have the property appraised and follow
the procedures of California Government Code Section 54222
for the disposal of this parcel.
3. The proposed disposition of the property will be referred
to the San Rafael Planning Commission for its review and
recommendation, and for its determination as to whether
the proposed disposition is consistent with the General Plan.

I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced
and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said City on
Monday , the fifth--.— day of March 1984,
