A RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL RESCINDING
RESOLUTION NO. 6769 AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
RADIO COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT
SERVICE
WHEREAS, the San Rafael City Council authorized City Staff
to solicit bids for radio communication equipment for Police
Department Service; and
and
WHEREAS, these bids have been received by the City Staff;
WHEREAS, the City Council on March 19, 1984, adopted
Resolution No. 6769 awarding bid of radio communication equipment
to Motorola Communications Engineers, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, this action was taken without adequate information
presented to the City Council about the selection process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. Resolution No. 6769 be rescinded; and
2. The Motorola Communications Engineers, Inc., be
designated as low bidder, that meets the specifi-
cations, for eight (8) Walkie Talkie radios and
ancillary equipment for Police Department Service
for a total price of $11,020.40.

hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said
City on the 2nd
