CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PRESENTS THIS
RESGUITION OF fiPPRECUITION
TO
EDWARD AMOS LARSEN, JR.
WHEREAS, EDWARD AMOS LARSEN, JR., was employed by the California
Highway Patrol on August 9, 1965, and assigned to the Marin
Area on March 30, 1966, where he enforced the traffic laws
in a fair, impartial and professional manner, thereby con-
tributing to the safety and well being of the citizens of
San Rafael; and
WHEREAS, for the past thirteen years he has been assigned as
the General Support Officer and in this capacity has met
the needs of the City of San Rafael motoring public in a
congenial, supportive and compassionate manner, exemplifying
the image of the California Highway Patrol; and
WHEREAS, he has promoted closer relationships between allied
law enforcement agencies by his active participation in
several Social and Professional service organizations and
clubs; and
WHEREAS, he has received numerous commendations and letters for
developing, encouraging and maintaining a spirit of coopera-
tion and professionalism with the residents of the City of
San Rafael and his fellow employees.
14011, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the San Rafael City Council,
on behalf of the citizens of San Rafael, expresses sincere
appreciation to EDWARD AMOS LARSEN, JR., for his many years
of dedicated public service to this community, and wishes
him a happy and healthy retirement.
