DAN COLEMAN
IN MEMORIAM
WHEREAS, Dan Coleman, internationally known planner, played a key
role in many of the major areas of development in Marin County;
and
WHEREAS, Dan Coleman served the City of San Rafael as Acting.
Planning Director in 1964 and later as a Planning Commissioner;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Coleman and his firms prepared the '.recreation and
Transportation elements of the San Rafael General Plan, the
Storm Drain Masterplan, the development of Peacock Gap,
Oakwoodlands and Spinnaker Point; and
WHEREAS, in his professional capacity, Dan Coleman has had a pro-
found effect on the development of the City of San Rafael and
earned deep respect, high regard and the trust of the San Rafael
City Councils and staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
San Rafael expresses its deep and sincere sympathy to the
family of DAN COLEMAN, on behalf of the community, in this
untimely and great loss.
