RESOLUTION NO. 6881
CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
PEACOCK GAP IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF CONSTRUCTION
CONTRACTS FOR THE MAKING OF IMPROVEMENTS IN CITY OF SAN
RAFAEL, PEACOCK GAP IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Rafael
(the "City"), by Resolution of Intention No. 6738 heretofore
duly adopted on February 6, 1984, declared its intention to
order the improvements therein described to be made in an
assessment district therein described designated "Peacock Gap
Improvement District"; and
WHEREAS, this City Council, by Resolution No. 6852
heretofore duly adopted on June 18, 1984, directed the City
Clerk of the City to cause notices to bidders inviting sealed
proposals or bids for the making of said improvements to be
posted in three (3) public places in the City for two (2)
succeeding weeks and to be published once a week for two (2)
succeeding weeks in The Independent -Journal, which posting
and publication was made in accordance with the affidavits of

posting and publication now on file in the records of this
City Council; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to such notices, sealed bids for
the making of said improvements were received by this City
Council; and
WHEREAS, such bids have been reviewed by this City
Council and by the Director of Public Works of the City, and
this City Council is fully advised in the premises;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of San Rafael, as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are true and
correct and this City Council so finds and determines.
Section 2. This City Council hereby authorizes the
award of the contracts for the making of said improvements to
the lowest responsible bidders therefor, in accordance with
their respective bids therefor, subject to the Director of
Public Works of the City giving notices to such bidders to
proceed under such contracts, such notices to given only upon
receipt of the proceeds of the bonds to be sold to finance
the construction costs to be paid under such contracts and
the incidental expenses of the proceedings, and the Mayor of
the City is hereby authorized and directed to execute said
contracts on behalf of the City and the City Clerk of the
City is hereby authorized and directed to attest the
execution thereof.

I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San
Rafael, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting
of the City Council of said City held on Monday , the 6th
day of August , 1984, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmembers: Breiner, Frugoli, Nave & Mayor Mulryan
NOES: Councilmembers: None
