RESOLUTION NO. 6900
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
DECLARING VOLUNTEERS WORKING ON THE FALKIRK GREENHOUSE
TO BE EMPLOYEES FOR THE PURPOSE OF WORKERS' COMPENSATION
AND INSURANCE LAW
WHEREAS, California Labor Code Section 3363.5 permits
public agencies to provide Workers' Compensation coverage to desig-
nated volunteers by declaring that such volunteers are employees for
the purpose of the Workers' Compensation and Insurance Law; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of San Rafael desires that
volunteers working on the Falkirk Greenhouse shall receive Workers' -
Compensation coverage.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of San Rafael hereby declares volunteers who work on the Falkirk
Greenhouse, and whose names are, or may be, shown on the Roster of
Volunteers assigned to the Greenhouse project, to be employees for
the purpose of the Workers' Compensation and Insurance Law.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, City Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of
said City held on Monday the twentieth day of August , 1984, by
the following vote, to wit:
