RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO APPLY FOR AND RECEIVE A STATE HISTORIC
PRESERVATION GRANT FOR THIRD FLOOR RESTORATION AT FALKIRK
WHEREAS, the State of California, through the State
Office of Historic Preservation, grants money for the restoration
and rehabilitation of historic buildings; and
WHEREAS, Falkirk Community Cultural Center is a
nationally registered historic landmark owned by the City of San
Rafael; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to make the third floor of
Falkirk accessible to the public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of San Rafael hereby authorizes staff to apply for and
receive funds from the California State Office of Historic
Preservation for construction of a third -floor access, and for
restoration of the third floor of Falkirk.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, City Clerk of the City of San
Rafael hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
and regularly introduced and adopted at a REGULAR meeting
of the City Council of said City held on MONDAY the
17th day of DECEMBER , 1984, by the following
vote, to wit:
