HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 6488 (Grange Vacate Easement)RESOLUTION NO. 6488 RESOLUTION ORDERING CLOSING, ABANDONING AND VACATING SLOPE AND DRAINAGE EASEMENT IN EAST SAN RAFAEL (GRANGE PROPERTY) WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Rafael on the 3rd day of January, 1983, adopted Resolution No. 6473 entitled, RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE SLOPE AND DRAINAGE EASEMENT; and WHEREAS, said Resolution was posted as required by law; and WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works of the City of San Rafael, California, conspicuously posted notices of easement vacation as required by law; and ~VHEREAS, a hearing was had this day as required by law and said Resolution No. 6473, at which hearing the Council of the City of San Rafael heard evidence offered by persons interested; and WHEREAS, it appears from all of the evidence submitted that the following described easement is unnecessary for present or prospective public use; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED as follows: 1. That the following described easement is unnecessary for present or prospective public use; 2. That the following described easement is hereby ordered closed, abandoned and vacated; 3. That the easement closed, abandoned and vacated is described on Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. I, JEANNE ~1. DESCRIPTION OF EASEMENT TO BE ABANDONED IN EAST SAN RAFAEL (GRANGE PROPERTY) 30' X 30' SLOPE & DRAINAGE EASEMENT A parcel of land, 30.00 feet square, lying northeasterly of and contiguous to the southwesterly line of that certain 4.00 acre tract of land described as Parcel Two in the deed to Marin Development Co., recorded March 23, 1956 in Volume 1016, page 24, Offical Records of Marin County, the northwesterly line of said 30.00 foot square parcel being parallel with and distant 148.71 feet, southeasterly, at right angles, from the northwesterly line of said Parcel Two, (OR 1016, p. 24).
