A RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ONE BACKHOE FOR
THE PUBLIC HORKS DEPARTMENT, UTILIZING
EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT FUNDS
WHEREAS, the San Rafael City Council authorized City Staff to solicit
bids for one Backhoe for the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, specifications were drawn and bids were solicited for this
item; and
WHEREAS, these bids have been received by the City Staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the San Rafael City Council that the
following actions be taken:
1. That the low bid submitted by North Bay Tractor, Inc., for
$27,427.50, be rejected because, although it meets our specifi-
cations, the maintenance costs to repair and overhaul the machine
over its life would be excessive.
2. That Hogue Equipment Co. of Santa Rosa be designated as the low
bidder for a 1982 Case Backhoe for a total price of $29,574.00.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify
that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at
a regular meeting of the Council of said City on the sixteenth day of
