JOHN M. GALBRAITH, JR.
WHEREAS, the San Rafael Ci ty Council appointed JOlIN M. GALBRAITH,
JR. to the Planning Commission in June 1979 after he had
been a leader in his neighborhood and in the Terra Linda
Open Space Acquisition Program; and
WHEREAS, during his four year membership on the San Rafael Planning
Commission John was generous in his commitment of time to
Commission responsibilities, particularly regarding the
numerous special meetings held on the Neighborhood 13/14
and Peacock Gap Neighborhood Plans, the Housing Element,
and the Northgate Activity Center Plan; and
WHEREAS, John was a conscientious Commissioner constantly striving
for sound planning decisions to benefit the City of
San Rafael and its neighborhoods; and
WHEREAS, John's vision for the City of San Rafael will be missed ~nd
will set a standard for future Commissioners.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council com-
mend John M. Galbraith, Jr., and express sincere thanks for
his diligent service to the City of San Rafael.
