A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN RAFAEL CHANGING ONE-HOUR LIMIT PARKING
METERS TO TWO-HOUR LIMIT PARKING METERS
WHEREAS, Section 5.60.020 of the San Rafael Municipal Code
authorizes the City Engineer to set parking meter time limits by
Council resolution for the efficient control and regulation of
parking; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that certain one hour limit
meters in various locations should be changed to two hour limit meters
to improve efficiency; and
WHEREAS, this proposed change is the second phase of a plan
previously approved by the Parking Committee of the Business Improvement
District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the following one hour limit
parking meters be established as two hour limits:
-Tamalpais Avenue, between Fourth Street and Fifth Avenue, both
sides, (east and west of the railroad tracks) .
-Lincoln Avenue between Third Street and Fifth Avenue, both sides.
-Lootens Place, between Third Street and Fourth Street, west side.
-Court Street between Fourth Street and Fifth Avenue, east side.
- A Street, bebleen Third Street and Fifth Avenue, both sides.
- B Street, between Second Street and Fifth Avenue, both sides.
- C Street between Third Street and Fifth Avenue, both sides.
-Fourth Street between H Street and E Street, both sides.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall become effective
upon the conversion of each meter.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, California,
hereby certify that the £oregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said City
on Monday, the 18th day of July, 1983, by the following vote, to wit:
