A RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF THREE POLICE
MOTORCYCLES UTILIZING BUDGETED FUNDS
WHEREAS, the San Rafael City Council authorized City
staff to solicit bids for three police motorcycles; and
WHEREAS, specifications were drawn and bids were solicited
for each item; and
WHEREAS, these bids have been received by the City staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the San Rafael City
Council that the following actions be taken:
1. That the one and only bid received from Santa Rosa
Kawasaki for $17,013.00 be rejected due to the excessive amount.
2. That Council authorize staff to negotiate a purchase
on the open market for these items for less than $17,013.00.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the
Council of said City held on Tuesday , the sixth day of
September , 1983, by the following vote, to wit: ---=-----
