A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO SIGN THE GRANT APPLICATION FOR
FUNDS MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH THE JUVENILE JUSTICE AND DELINQUENCY
ACT OF 1974 FOR THE CONTINUATION OF THE CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION
PUPPET PROGRAM
WHEREAS the City of San Rafael desires to undertake a certain
project designated CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION PUPPET PROGRAM to be funded
from funds made available through the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency
Prevention Act of 1974, PL 93-41S, as amended, (hereafter referred to
as JJDP Act) administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning
(hereafter referred to as OCJP).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of San
Rafael is authorized, on its behalf, to submit the attached Application
for Grant for law enforcement purposes to OCJP and the Mayor is authorized
to execute on behalf of the City of San Rafael the attached Grant Award
for law enforcement purposes, including any extensions or amendments
thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall
not be used to supplant law enforcement expenditures controlled by this
body.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, California,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said
City held on the seventh day of November 1983 by the
following vote, to wit:
