HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 6430 (Change to Two Hour Parking Meter Limits)RESOLUTION NO. 6420 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL CHANGING TEN HOUR PARKING METER TIME LIMITS TO TWO HOUR PARKING METER TIME LIMITS AND THE ADDITION OF TEN HOUR METERS TO THE ADJOINING ALLEY WHEREAS, Section 5.60.020 of the San Rafael Municipal Code provides that parking meter time limits be set for the efficient control and regulation of parking in San Rafael; and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Council at its October 18, 1982 meeting that certain ten hour time limit meters in the Fifth Avenue and D Street parking lot should be changed to two hour time limit meters to improve efficiency; and WHEREAS, this proposed change has been approved by the Parking Committee of the Business Improvement District; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has determined that parking meters with ten hour limits should be established in the alley adjoining this parking lot; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that one row of existing ten hour meters in the Fifth Avenue and D Street lot (15 meters), are established with two hour time limits; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that 8 ten hour limit meters are established in the adjoining alley; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall become effective upon conversion or installation of each meter. I, JEANNE M.
