DAVID HENRY JONES
WHEREAS, DAVID HENRY JONES, has retired as a Sergeant of Police for
the City of San Rafael after nineteen years of distinguished
service to the citizens of the community; and
WHEREAS, It is hereby recognized that during his tenure as a police
officer, DAVID HENRY JONES, served first as patrol officer
and, later as a Sergeant of Police, was the Department's
first Community Relations/Crime Prevention Officer, and
also served as a supervisor of Patrol and Training; and
WHEREAS, SERGEANT JONES'S high standards, integrity and fairness for
justice for senior citizens and other victims of crime have
gained him the respect of his fellow officers and numerous
colleagues both in and outside the law enforcement community
throughout the County of Marin and State of California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
San Rafael, in grateful acknowledgement of DAVID HENRY JONES'S
outstanding record of service to the City of San Rafael, its
employees, residents and business community, expresses
sincere appreciation and best wishes for a very long, happy,
and healthy retirement.
