HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 6362 (Possible Funding of FEMA Ineligible Items)RESOLUTION NO. 6362 RESOLUTION APPROVING SUBMITTAL OF DOCUMENTATION TO THE SAN FRANCISCO FOUNDATION FOR POSSIBLE FUNDING OF FEMA INELIGIBLE ITEMS WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael suffered severe financial losses due to the January 4, 1982 storm, and WHEREAS, the City has applied to FEMA for federal assistance to cover the cost of repairing the storm damage; and WHEREAS, FEMA has declared certain items ineligible for funding because it was determined by FEMA that the work constituted a betterment, and WHEREAS, if this work is not done, the City will incur further flooding damage due to inadequately protected facilities, and WHEREAS, the San Francisco Foundation has requested submittal of information pertinent to these ineligible items for possible grant funding. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Rafael City Council hereby approves the submittal of this resolution and supporting documentation to the San Francisco Foundation for consider- ation of funding of those items ruled ineligible by FEMA. I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, California, hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said City held on the 2nd day of August, 1982, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS:Frugoli, Jensen, Miskimen & Mayor Mulryan NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS:None ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS:Breiner J N M.
