RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO SUBMIT GRANT
PROPOSAL TO SAN FRANCISCO FOUNDATION FOR
CHILD CARE PROGRAM
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL RESOLVES as follows:
WHEREAS, the San Francisco Foundation has indicated $150,000
would be available for child care service programs; and,
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael's Child Care Program and the
Marin County Office of Education have identified as a high priority
need a means to promote their services so that the private sector
and the community are aware of these programs; and,
WHEREAS, the above need falls within the criteria set forth for
child care funding by the San Francisco Foundation; and,
WHEREAS, the cost to fund a multi -media promotional project is
$36,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of San Rafael authorize staff to submit a proposal for $36,000 for a
multi -media presentation to promote the importance and availability
of child care programs being offered in the community.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby
certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced
and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of said City held
on Monday, the 20th day of September, 1982, by the following vote, to
wit:
