A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN RAFAEL NAMING A PRIVATE STREET (UNOFFICIALLY
KNOWN AS "BAXTER'S ALLEY") BAXTER'S COURT
WHEREAS, the City has received a request from James
Baxter, owner of Assessor's Parcels 18-011-32, 53 and 54, to
officially name the private street on the property; and
WHEREAS, the "Street Naming Guide" adopted by the City
Council in 1968 sets forth City policy on naming or renaming
streets and states that private streets, common driveways and
access easements can be designated by name for mailing address
purposes; and
WHEREAS, the owner, tenants and staff have mutually
agreed that the name "Baxter's Court" would be the most appro-
priate name for the private street, given its unofficial histori-
cal name "Baxter's Alley".
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Rafael
City Council officially designates said private roadway as Baxter's
Cour t.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael,
hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said
City on Monday , the 4th day of October , 1982, by the
following vote, to wit:

Mayor Mulryan
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: None
