RESOLUTION OF THE SAN RAFAEL CITY COUNCIL DECLARING THE
CITY'S INTENT TO INITIATE REZONING OF PROPERTIES CONSISTENT
WITH THE NORTHGATE ACTIVITY CENTER PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of San Rafael adopted the Northgate Activity Center Plan
as an amendment to the San Rafael General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Northgate Activity Center Plan proposes specific development
limitations on undeveloped and underdeveloped properties in order to maintain
acceptable levels of traffic service at significant intersections; and
WHEREAS, the Northgate Activity Center Plan proposes review of requests
to intensify or modify existing uses to ensure that proposed changes would not
adversely affect traffic circulation; and
WHEREAS, to fully implement said Plan, the City will be obliged to effect
certain rezonings of property so that said zoning will be consistent with the
plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council declares the City's
intent to rezone properties within the Northgate Activity Center as necessary
to fulfill the purpose and intent of the Northgate Activity Center Plan.
I, JEANNE M. LEONCINI, Clerk of the City of San Rafael, hereby certify
that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted at
a regular meeting of the City Council of said City held on Monday, the
eighteenth day of October 19 82 by the following vote,
to wit:
