Within a few years after the construction of the building, the building was named the "Depot"Saloon and Rooming House, catering to railroad workers and travelers. In 1939, the building was listed as the "Flatiron Hotel". The building continued as a bar and rooming house until 1975 when a fire destroyed the second level. At that time, the current owner, Frank Annicelli, rebuilt the damaged portion and removed the stucco to reveal the original siding and even some of the signing.
