RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN RAFAEL
ENDORSING THE DRAFT 1981 MARIN COUNTYWIDE PLAN AS
RECOMMENDED BY THE COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION AND MODIFIED
BY THE COUNTYWIDE PLAN ADVISORY PLAN COMMITTEE WITH
CLARIFICATION BY CITY PLANNING STAFF
WHEREAS, the City Council on December 7, 1981, adopted
Resolution No. 6221 endorsing the Draft 1981 Marin Countywide Plan
as approved by the Countywide Plan Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, significant changes were made to the Draft
during the course of public hearings before the County Planning
Commission; and
WHEREAS, the changes made by the Commission were
subsequently reviewed by the Countywide Plan Advisory Committee
on March 4, 1982; and
WHEREAS, the Countywide Plan Advisory Committee recom-
mended that the revised language as proposed by the Commission be
modified or deleted to reflect the original language in the Draft
as approved by the Committee; and
WHEREAS, the County Planning Director supports the
Countywide Plan Advisory Committee recommendations in the staff
report submitted to the Board of Supervisors on March 23, 1982;
and
WHEREAS, the City planning staff has further clarified
the Advisory Committee's recommendation with respect to the
Santa Venetia area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council
of the City of San Rafael hereby:
1) endorses the Draft 1981 Marin Countywide Plan as
recommended to the Board of Supervisors by the County Planning
Commission except as modified by the Countywide Plan Advisory
Committee with regard to Chapter 5 - Plans for Planning Areas,
and further clarified by the City planning staff; and
RESOLUTION NO. 67
2) directs that a copy of this Resolution be forwarded
to the Marin County Board of Supervisors prior to their hearing
on April 13, 1982.

hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of said
City on Monday , the 5th day of April , 1982, by the following
